Hi,
I recently helped someone with this project file and though I’d post it here. It uses an APC-MINI MK2 to control 8 - Ip mutes and 9 Ip faders to LR level adjustments. Feel free to leverage it is you have this combination of controller and SQ Series controller.
Translator 1.0 handles mutes Ip1-Ip8
I’m using an APC-MINI MK2 as my input device and using Note-100-107 for mute but converting LSB to 0-7
In this example 100-107 note on MIDI CH 1 will send NRPN MSB 0 LSB 0-7 value 1 and note off will send MSB 0 LSB 0-7 value 1
Translator 1.2 handles levels Ip1-Ip9 (Linear taper) to L-R
I set the MSB to 0x40 and LSB is adjusted from CC48-56 to LSB 0-8. I set the value to MSB LSB based on the incoming value (qq).
My aliases are set as follows:
You can learn more about aliases from this tutorial.
For preset 1, I set device selection from ‘My Controller’ to ‘My-SQ6’.
You can learn more about device selection from this tutorial.
You can look at the rules of each translator , to change your target incoming note and CC numbers.
Using rules, allows you to use a less translator for multiple input values which is also a personal preference of mine.
