I was beginning to think everyone who figured this out just never bothered to post how. I only put this together from reading pretty much everything there was on the internet about this and piecing it together. Seriously hope this helps someone out there!

just wanted to throw this file up here for anyone who comes across it. I edited the zed r16s midi file for bomes heavily and made some major changes and added better instructions and work arounds. also added a banking feature. Lol i came across these threads when pulling my hair out trying to get this all working with pro tools 12.5 and i now have EVERYTHING working with pro tools as well as some features i felt it was missing
Holding shift will alternate from 1-8 muting tracks to"REC" arm.
Releasing ‘SHIFT’ will revert to ‘MUTE’ tracks
Pressing ‘+/INC’ willalternate to solo
key commands are experimental not quite working yet
RTZ(<) & RTE(>) now bank right and left for faders and panning instead of returning to beginning or end
feel free to delete devices from my personal set up
Init & Knobs presets used only to control mouse with the Zed. Kind of non essential but figured I’d include it
