Bomebox on a remote PC

I have a PC connected by ethernet to a Bomebox. I have unlimited virtual ports and they show up in Ableton and Bitwig.

When I remote into the PC with ‘Microsoft Remote Desktop’ for Mac all the ports disappear.

Disconnect and log directly into the PC and they all reappear.

Any ideas? Is this a firewall issue?

OK thank you I’ll switch the sound to ‘remote PC’ and see where that goes.

Here is more evidence here that it’s MIDI related Remote Desktop.

User is not seeing a USB MIDI port working fine until he remotes in.

Yup setting Microsoft Remote Desktop to make sound ‘on remote PC’ fixed it.
