Thanks in advance for any input.
We are running 2 Macs, running Sequioa 15.5 and Bome Network Version 1.6.0, LightKey version 5.6.1. They were running fine for a couple years until about a 2 months ago when I started loosing the “triggers” from ProPresenter, and I would have to go in and Re-trigger the MIDI notes for every note. It worked great for our last 2 service until rehearsal last night when all the Triggers went Buh Bye again. Nothing has been updated on either Mac. I’m pulling my hair out trying to figure out what is causing this. In total it’s happened 5 times. The Connection is fine and it doesn’t look like any settings have been changed
HELP!
Hi and welcome to the Bome community!
This is something we have not seen before. The best way to determine the cause would be to make copy of the log files on both machines when it happens and send them to us.
The log files can be accessed by using these instructions.
We should then be able to see the state of both machines at the time of the error.
If you are also using Bome MIDI Translator Pro, I would like to see the project file that you are running.

Thank you
Attached are the files. I did re-trigger one ‘note” already
No Bome Translator involved
Studio Bome Network 1.6.log (4.5 KB)
Mini Bome Network 1.6.log (5.9 KB)
I don’t see anything unusual, however I don’t think you need to use the IAC driver bus. You should just be able to send from your ProPresenter app to the system ‘Discoveastudio’ and then receive from your LightKey App from the system ‘Mac-mini’.
Could you try that?

Thanks for your input Steve.
I “re-triggered” everything yesterday, and when I came in today it was all good
I did Turn off the IAC Bus on the Mac-Mini
We’'ll be back in tomorrow for a worship night and hopefully all is well.
If not I’ll grab the Log Files again and re-post here
Thanks again
Your welcome. I think I remember hearing a while back about someone having trouble in missing messages on an IAC port so thought it would be just safer to simplify the configuration.

Update:
We had a worship night this past Saturday and nothing worked. We couldn’t even re-trigger the lights when we found out, early, that they were not working. Then I remembered that there was a suggestion to “turn off the IAC Bus”, which I had done 2 days prior. Turned that back on and everything worked.
Fast forward to Sunday AM, today, and everything worked. My concern is, maybe since we were told that the IAC Bus wasn’t needed that we don’t have something else in the settings configured correctly that could be causing this interment issue.
Thanks for the help
Hi, this is strange, I would need to see your MIDI configuration screens in LightKey and Pro Presenter.
Also on each computer show the BomeNetwork configuration
MIDI Ports
Port Router

Thank you sir, I won’t be back at the church until Tuesday and would be grateful for your assistances
I’m not well versed on MIDI and the Bome settings, I just made it work!
OK, I will standby until I hear from you then.

A little update. I found an issues with the NETBios name, it kept changing on the Mac-Studio. Sometimes Bome would use a 15 character truncated name and other times it would use the actual Host-Name. Haven’t figured that part out, but that explains why sometimes we’d have to re-trigger the MIDI triggers. How ever this past Sunday it connected using the Host-Name, which is correct and we still had to re-trigger MIDI. I also noticed this in the NOTES along the bottom on the Bome Window.
”41285 Direct MIDI disconnected (user has closed the port): DiscoveacStudio|IAC Driver Light Key Bus”
Which is odd because that note references the truncated Mac Studio name.
So today I was able to rectify the WINS name issues And I’m going to re-trigger just a couple MIDI triggers and see what happens tomorrow. I’ll provide the screen shots your referenced above then, I’m out of time for today.
Once again, THANK YOU for your assistance.
Rick
Hi in the Bome Network tool on your Mac, click on the gear icon which takes you to settings. Then click on the twistie for network name. Here you can override the name provided by the host with the name of your choice and it should not ever change.

Great tip, thanks
I’ll look into that first thing tomorrow
Rick
Today everything was Okay, so I re-triggered all the “scenes” in LightKey, shut it all down and restarted and everything was OKAY. Fingers crossed, we’ll check again tomorrow.
Thanks again for your assistance
